How you can help: Donating used computers to free software organizations

The following free software organizations would like donations of used computers. The computers should be two to three years old, and have either GNU/Linux preloaded or blank hard drives.

The Free Software Foundation is not necessarily affiliated with any of the organizations listed here. If you are interested in offering a donation, please get in touch with the contact listed for the organization.

• The INEI (Instituto Nacional de Estadistica e Informatica, or National Institute for Statistics and Computation) of Peru is looking for 20 computers to start a free software lab and promote free software throughout the Peruvian government. They can use more than 20 if more can be found.

  Please contact Max Lazaro <mlazaro@inei.gob.pe> if you have computers to offer.

• MissionaryNet is an organization dedicated to providing distance education to underprivileged children in developing countries. Many used computers are needed to provide this service using GNU/Linux. Please contact Robert Lefebvre at <Robert@MissionaryNet.org> for more information.
